Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops, Basketball Australia’s official introductory program for 5-10 year olds and their families.

Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops is a national program which provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation.

Programs include:

• • A fun and engaging basketball program, delivered by accredited coaches and access to the Community Coaching course online
  • Special player opportunities including WNBL round, SBL round
  • Visibility on the Aussie Hoops locator
  • Participant Packs and Coaching Packs

School Aussie Hoop Centres

Schools can now become an Aussie Hoop Centre by partnering with their local Aussie Hoops Centre or Basketball WA to receive qualified Coaches, equipment and administration. Aussie Hoop Centres can run before or after school for 1 hr across the entire term. Schools can choose to leave open for entire school or target a specfic year group in the delivery.

Aussie Hoops is a user pays program and on average costs around $90/participant/term (including the participant pack). This fee also includes insurance and affiliation fees. The cost is usually incurred by the parent.

• 1 x 1hr Aussie Hoops Clinic (Before or After School)
• Age Group: Grades PP-6
• Major Sponsor: Vicinity Centres
• Partners: Local Basketball Affiliated Associations
• Cost: $90/participants
• Inclusions: Qualified Basketball Coach from local centres or Coach qualification for relavent staff, Participant Pack (Bag, Ball and Singlet)

School Ambassador Program
